Welcome to the Bogey Hole Café, the charming heart of Bronte Beach’s bustling café scene. Fresh, honest food is our philosophy. All of our food including cakes, muffins, jams, sauces are home-made and we proudly serve Salvador Sydney coffee and homemade teas.
The café began in 1993 when Hannah’s parents Debra and Richard Gray, long term residents of the area, recognised the need for an outdoor café at Bronte. Hannah’s family has been involved in running shops at Bronte since the 1940’s. Her great grandmother ‘Missy Lowe’ had a Chinese restaurant and milk bar.
From humble beginnings the business grew and encouraged competition in the form of other cafes, and Bronte now boasts a strip of nine cafes. In 2012 Hannah took over and has grown the cafe and business which now has twice as many tables. She also does Catering for the photography industry, events and functions.
We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this land, the Bidgigal and Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
